In addition to being a major interstate natural gas pipeline,
having the world’s largest underground natural gas storage system, and
being the largest gatherer of gas in the Appalachian basin, Dominion Transmission
is a producer and supplier of natural gas liquids (NGLs) at its Hastings Extraction/Fractionation
Plant near Pine Grove, West Virginia.
Our products include propane, normal butane, isobutane and
natural gasoline.
We extract, fractionate,
store, transport and market to various end user markets including propane
retailers, refineries, petrochemical facilities, and aerosol companies.
The Hastings Plant produces high purity products as
opposed to refinery grade.
It is strategically located between the TEPPCO pipeline
and the Dixie pipeline. DTI connects with the TEPPCO pipeline at Floreffe
Jct, PA through Dominion’s G-136 pipeline.

Dominion Transmission dedicated its
state-of-the-art Hastings Extraction Plant on September 30, 2003. Dominion’s
investment in the plant was the largest in the history of the company’s
Gathering & Processing business. The $85 million modernization gives Dominion
an updated plant with low maintenance costs, increased efficiencies and high
reliability.
Plant capacity has increased by up
to 33 percent, creating significant new drilling opportunities for West
Virginia producers.
