Elwood Power Station in Elwood, Illinois, produces enough electricity to power about 340,000 homes, using natural gas as its fuel.
Elwood consists of nine 150-megawatt combustion turbines with a total output of 1,350 megawatts.
Each combustion turbine is equipped with a dry low-NOx combustor to reduce nitrogen oxide emissions.
