Gravel Neck Power Station is located in Surry, Virginia. Dominion owns and operates the station, which consists of six combustion turbine generating units that are operated during times of peak customer demand for electricity – on the coldest days of winter and hottest days of summer.
Four of the units burn fuel oil and two burn natural gas.
