Ladysmith Power Station, located on 320 acres in Ladysmith, Virginia, produces enough electricity to power about 195,000 homes, using natural gas as its fuel.
Dominion owns and operates Ladysmith, which consists of five combustion-turbine generating units that are operated during times of peak customer demand for electricity – on the coldest days of winter and hottest days of summer. The station began commercial operation in 2001.
