Emmett has a B.S. in Agricultural Engineering from Virginia Tech, where he was a charter member and president of the Alpha Gamma Rho Agricultural Fraternity. When power outages occur, getting accurate power-restoration information to customers can be almost important as actually getting the lights back on.
Modern technology helps us respond to large-scale power outages. But we still need your help. Calling us helps confirm that your lights are out.
Please have your account number of the account phone number handy when you call. Reporting an outage promptly - even if you neighbors have done so - speeds up the restoration process.
During storms, our phone system can handle 100,000 calls per hour. Your report becomes part of a computer analysis of lights-out patterns that helps us zero in on problem areas.
