Virginians have saved 1 billion kilowatt-hours of electricity through Dominion Virginia Power's compact fluorescent lightbulb program. Energy from the savings is enough to provide electricity to more than 72,000 Virginia homes for one year, based on average usage.
The program offers $1.50 discount on every single CFL and $3 for every multipack purchased at a participating Home Depot store.
