With EnergyShare, a helping hand is available for those who can't afford to heat their homes.
EnergyShare is Dominion's energy-assistance program of last resort for the elderly, the ill or anyone who faces financial hardships from unemployment or a family crisis. Funds can be used for oil, gas, kerosene, wood and electric heat.
Last year, the program distributed more than $7 million in heating assistance to some 18,000 families in three states.
Funds come from voluntary contributions made by our customers, employees, EnergyShare business partners and Dominion.
Because administrative costs are covered by Dominion and social service agencies, all donated funds go toward helping those in need.
You can help by simply adding $1, $2, $5, $10, $25 or $35 to your monthly Dominion bill.
Overpayments in these exact amounts go directly to the program.
You also can send a check payable to:

Hypothermia strikes when a body temperature drops below 95 degrees. Though it usually occurs outdoors, it also can hit in a house in which the thermostat is turned down too low.
Especially at risk are seniors and those with health problems.
So make sure loved ones' homes are heated and comfortable.
