Ten Year Extended Warranty Terms and Conditions

The Ten-Year Heating & Cooling Repair Program (“Program”), by Dominion Products & Services, Inc.  (“Dominion”), covers all parts and labor necessary to repair eligible residential forced air heating and cooling systems.  Eligible systems include systems fueled by electric, gas, propane or oil, residential boilers under 500,000 Btuh fueled by gas, propane and oil and select add-on accessories in single-family residences for 10 years from the date of installation.

  1. The Program is intended for the repair of systems and qualifying accessories, not the replacement of systems and accessories that Dominion deems beyond repair.
  2. Protection under the Program starts on the 91st day after the installation date listed on the Dominion Program Registration and Enrollment Form and continues until the 10th year, installation anniversary date.  Customer may cancel participation within 30 days of enrollment and receive a full refund.
  3. Protection under the Program is fully transferable to future owners at no additional charge. 
  4. The Program provides protection for all residential equipment makes unless restricted due to unavailability of repair  parts.  Dominion and its contractors shall not be responsible for service or parts the customer or a third party provides. Dominion shall not be responsible for repairs made by anyone other than a Dominion authorized service provider or made without Dominion’s pre-authorization.  The Program covers all parts and labor, unless excluded elsewhere in paragraph five of  the Terms & Conditions.  Any customer payment for parts and labor not covered under  the Program must be made directly to the contractor. 
  5. The following are excluded from the Program: 
    • Add-on components, including humidifiers, electronic air filters not enrolled in the Program at time of installation;
    • Commercial systems, steam systems, geothermal heat pumps, gas engine driven heat pumps, or radiant floor/ceiling heat;
    • Routine maintenance such as coil cleaning, duct cleaning, filter replacement, condensate drain clearing and seasonal turn-ons/turn-offs; 
    • Electronic zoning systems, ultraviolet light systems and condensate lift pumps;
    • Auxiliary components including ductwork, grilles & registers, equipment casing/enclosures, condenser pads, snow legs, flues and chimneys. 

    Dominion reserves the right to make final protection eligibility decisions.

  6. All covered equipment must be installed by a licensed contractor to manufacturer’s and local building code  specifications and must pass all governmentally required inspections. Dominion reserves the right to inspect equipment for sixty days (60) after receipt of customer’s application.
  7. Dominion contractors must have safe access to, and safe working conditions at and around all covered equipment.
  8. Dominion’s liability is limited solely to the repair of the covered heating/cooling system(s) and components.  The Program shall have no other liability for any other direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or other damages. Dominion will not be responsible for damage caused by the customer, including failure to follow manufacturer’s routine maintenance recommendations, third parties, natural disasters, acts of God or other insurable causes. The parties agree that any claim for breach of his contract must be initiated within one (1) year from the date of accrual and that this limitations period supersedes any other limitations period that would  otherwise apply. 
  9. To make a claim, you must call the toll-free Program Claims Hotline at 1-800-562-8419, prior to having any repair work performed. 
  10. By enrolling in the Program the customer: (A) represents that to the best of his/her knowledge, equipment to be covered is functioning properly; (B) authorizes the utility to provide Dominion with any information about this account.
