Water Line Replacement Terms and Conditions

The Water Line Replacement Program covers the repair or replacement of a residential water supply line that fails due to normal wear and tear and is provided by Dominion Products and Services, Inc., hereinafter referred to as “Dominion”.

  1. This Program covers a single water supply line to a single family residence, or a duplex with individual water lines for each residence within the duplex.
  2. Coverage under the program starts after first payment is received and enrollment in the program exceeds 30 days. Coverage continues thereafter so long as the customer makes timely payments. Customer payments prepay coverage under the program. Coverage is suspended at the end of the prepaid period in cases of nonpayment. Customer’s account must be in good standing (current) to receive repair service under this program.
  3. The Program does not cover underground water lines that are clogged, leaking, in need of repair, or damaged before the start of service to the Customer under the Program. Dominion retains the right to inspect the water line within sixty (60) days after receipt of the Customer’s enrollment.
  4. Additionally, the Program does not cover:
    • water lines connected to wells, cisterns, or water systems which are not connected to a water company system;
    • water systems for sprinklers, pools, hot tubs, and/or other outdoor systems;
    • removal of obstacles necessary to access the water line;
    • updating and/or moving non-leaking water pipes to satisfy directives of the water company;
    • lines that exceed 500 feet in length.
  5. After the line is repaired or replaced, Program will provide basic site restoration service to the affected area. Such restoration is limited to filling in, raking, reseeding and patching paved surfaces. It does not include the restoration of trees, shrubs, full replacement of paved surfaces or structures.
  6. Dominion does not assume responsibility for any work or repairs done by the Customer (or by the occupant of the residence if the Customer does not reside there), or by any third party without prior authorization by Dominion.
  7. Dominion has the right to modify this Program, from time to time, on thirty (30) days written notice. Dominion has the right to terminate this Program on ninety (90) days written notice.
  8. By enrolling, the customer represents that, to the best of his/her knowledge, the subject water line is free from any pre-existing leaks or damage.
  9. Dominion makes final judgment and reserves the right to establish coverage eligibility.
  10. The Program’s liability is limited solely to the repair of the home’s external water line. The Program shall have no liability for any direct, indirect, special, incidental, consequential or other damages. The Program will not be responsible for damage caused by the customer, third parties, natural disasters, or other insurable causes.
  11. Customer may cancel participation at any time.
  12. Obligations of Dominion under these terms and conditions are backed by the full faith and credit of Dominion.
