Program Overview

Dominion Energy South Carolina is pleased to offer the Natural Gas Neighborhood Energy Efficiency Program, available exclusively to qualified residential natural gas customers. We've created this program to provide customers with energy education on how to reduce their gas usage and save money at home, while also providing the direct installation of energy-saving improvements at no cost.

Here's how it works:

  • Qualified customers will be contacted by mail with an invitation to participate.
  • With the customer's authorization, a professionally trained Energy Specialist will conduct an in-home energy assessment and install a variety of energy-saving products – all at no charge.
  • The assessment and installation takes less than 45 minutes.
  • Customers will be provided with a customized report with recommendations on how they can save even more energy and money for years to come.

Faucet aerators Outlet gaskets
Bath aerators Door and window caulk
Showerheads Door sweeps
Pipe Wrap Water heater temperature check

Eligibility

The Natural Gas Neighborhood Energy Efficiency Program is available to qualified residential natural gas customers (homeowners and renters) living in select neighborhoods identified by Dominion Energy South Carolina. If you are eligible to participate, you will receive a letter in the mail with further details.

Safety Measures

Our Energy Specialists will always wear Dominion Energy branded clothing and have an ID badge with their name and photo. They will also wear gloves and shoe covers and will wear a mask if requested.

*Actual energy savings depends upon individual energy usage, home characteristics and products installed. Program implementation is by Franklin Energy.

The Natural Gas Neighborhood Energy Efficiency Program is available to qualified residential natural gas customers (homeowners and renters) living in communities identified by Dominion Energy South Carolina. If you are eligible to participate, you will receive a notification by mail.

A walk-through energy assessment is the first step toward improving your home's efficiency and reducing the amount of energy you use. During the energy assessment, our trained Energy Specialist will evaluate your home to determine what areas would benefit the most from energy efficiency improvements to reduce your natural gas usage. Based on the results of the assessment, we may install up to eight energy efficient products – all at no cost to you.

Each Energy Specialist will be wearing Dominion Energy branded clothing and will have an official name badge.

If you are eligible to participate, you will be notified by mail with instructions on how to sign up for the program.

The energy assessment and product installations usually takes less than 45 minutes.

No, the program is free. There is no charge for the energy assessment, or for the products and services provided at the time of your appointment.

Yes, an adult (18 years or older) must be home during the entire process.

The Energy Specialist will need access to every general room in your home, including bathrooms and rooms that contain your water heater and heating source.
